Welcome to finding a lasting solution to your dog training needs

Alpha K-9 Obedience | Dog Trainer & Behaviorist – Evergreen, Colorado

Our mission at Alpha K-9 Obedience is committed to helping you develop a mutually respectful, trusting relationship between you and your dog. As dog trainers in Evergreen and Denver, we believe that to have a positive, successful relationship with your dog, you need to understand how your dog thinks; dog psychology if you will. That’s the difference at Alpha K-9 Obedience: we are animal behaviorists, not just dog trainers. We teach you how to communicate with your dog in a clear concise manner, using dog psychology, not human psychology. We will teach you how to become the leader of the “pack”, thus getting your dog to follow your direction and really enjoy it. By doing that you are building a trusting relationship between you and your dog. We offer dog training, obedience training, aggressive dog training/rehabilitation and more. We primarily specialize in dealing with dogs with difficult behavioral issues, helping them to become well-adjusted members of your family.

Every dog is different as is every family and every circumstance. I get to know each and every one of our clients to provide a personalized training program necessary to bring about lasting results. Alpha K-9 Obedience is located in the beautiful mountains of Evergreen Colorado. We usually service the Denver metropolitan area but are willing to travel to meet the needs of our clients. We also do phone consultations when traveling long distances is not an option.

Are You Looking for a Great Dog Trainer in Denver? Call Alpha K-9 Obedience.

“If you have been through multiple dog trainers and spent a lot of time and money, call me, Michael Mandell. I am not just ‘with’ Alpha K-9 Obedience, I am Alpha K-9 Obedience. You will be working directly with me, not a hired staff. I am an animal behaviorist. My training and experience goes way above and beyond the typical dog trainer. I have worked with multiple dog rescue organizations such as the Weimaraner Rescue, German Shorthaired Pointer Rescue, Small Senior Paws Retirement Village as well as other dog trainers teaching them how to quickly and effectively get the results desired through proven techniques.”

Alpha K-9 Obedience is based in Evergreen, CO, and offers dog training services throughout the Denver area. Michael also works with Jefferson County, Summit County, and Adams County in Colorado when a citation is given out for an owner having an aggressive and/or dangerous dog. Just recently my name was given to potential clients in Summit County by their prosecutor. She wanted me to evaluate and work with dog owners who received a citation or warning concerning a aggression issue with their dog! This means the owner’s dog has bitten a child, adult, or another dog or animal. The owner cited is now ordered by the courts to go through a Mandatory Rehabilitation Program. Alpha K-9 Obedience’s name is given to the cited individual. When Alpha K-9 Obedience is chosen, Michael evaluates their dog, develops and carries out an individual training plan for that dog and his/her owner. Michael is required to sign off and submit a written evaluation on the success or failure of their dog. To date, Michael has successfully rehabilitated every dog that he has worked with for Jefferson and Adams Counties. Michael never solicited the courts but was obviously researched and came recommended.

In the case of aggressive behavior in dogs, many dog trainers/training organizations will not even take on such a job due to the complexity, serious danger and liability issues. It take a highly experienced animal behaviorist that truly knows what he or she is doing or he/she could create an even more dangerous situation with the dog. NO e-collars or pinch collars are ever used with the rehabilitation process!
